Tanya has a strong interest in technology at the intersection of consumer and development sectors, with a focus on education, climate, and health. She is an alumnus of Ashoka University, where she pursued political science and international relations, including a brief stint studying development economics and data analysis at Harvard University. 

Tanya comes to Lightbox with rich experience working across the spectrum from building an edtech platform on Asian technology and policy for investor-philanthropist Ashish Dhawan's The Convergence Foundation, to leading global growth at HatchXR, an AR/VR/Metaverse coding platform from Camp K12. She also briefly worked at the Brookings Institution and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where she looked at intra-Asia trade and global supply chains.

As part of the investment team at Lightbox, Tanya engages closely with the portfolio and builds investment theses and dealflow across the consumption spectrum.
