Samir brings more than 25 years of experience leading large global categories and brands. His track record spans across markets like India, US, Europe, Southeast Asia and China leading billion-dollar brands like Dove, Lifebuoy, Axe, Lux and Rexona.
He is currently the EVP Marketing Asia Pacific at Colgate Palmolive. Prior to this he was the Global CMO of Unilever's USD 14 billion Personal Care business. Before that he led their USD 6 billion Global Skin Cleansing business. He was also Chair, Unilever Asia Pte Ltd from 2021-23 and part of the Hindustan Unilever (HUL) Management Committee from 2014-16 leading the Beauty & Personal Care business in India.
Samir joined HUL in India as a management trainee, and progressed through various roles of increasing responsibilities, including Sales for Foods, country and global roles in Beauty/Skin Care, & Global Brand VP, Lifebuoy for which he won multiple Cannes Lions awards.
He has also created and launched new-age digital-first brands, and as an angel investor, successfully worked with start-ups and VC’s across Asia.
